Ranma Saotome and his father Genma go to Jusenkyo and by fatal mistake, use the cursed springs as a martial arts training ground. Despite vivid warnings from the Jusenkyo Guide, they fall in and become cursed with the bodies of other creatures that fell in thousands of years before. Ranma, a girl, Genma, a panda. Whenever splashed with cold water, Ranma will change into a girl and hot water will change him back to a boy. Ranma returns to Japan to find out he has been engaged to a tomboy named Akane (after her sisters found out about his secret). They begin their lifelong relationship with Akane smashing Ranma over the head with a table or a mallet. What a wonderful way to start a relationship. |
Genma
Saotome
Genma appears to be a man in his mid-forties, somewhat over-weight
and lacking in hair. He does
have a small, furry problem, though; when doused with cold water he
transforms into a panda. His problem started when he decided
to take Ranma on a training to the cursed springs of Jusenkyo, China. But,
Genma, being as lazy as he is, never bothered to find out what the curse
was or learn any Chinese, come to think of it. Finally he fall into the
Spring of drowned panda, Xiong-Mao-Niichuan.
