Asuka Langley Souryu
This cute Eva-02 Production Model pilot here is a very competitive and outspoken girl. She has an amazing talent at piloting Eva-02. She's also a smart girl since she had already graduated from a university in America and has an American nationality. She's 3/4 German and 1/4 Japanese, and was born and raised in America. However, her attitude towards other people are quite offensive and arrogant. She always likes winning and considers herself as the best Eva pilot. She wants to prove to the world, to everyone that she is the best pilot and she works really hard to to do that. Her pride was threatened when her fellow pilot, Shinji Ikari override her success. Inside this strong character actually lies a fragile heart. Her mother committed a suicide when she was young and her father abandoned her (the same thing that happened to Shinji). Unlike Shinji, she chose a far different way of coping. She hides all of her personal feelings deeply in her heart. She is referred as the Second Children.
