Misato Katsuragi
Misato Katsuragi, a 29 years old NERV Operations Chief is an attractive woman. She is Shinji's guardian and she lives with him. Later, she also takes care of Asuka as well. Aside from these two, she lives with her pet, Pen Pen, a a rare Onsen penguin which lives in her refrigerator. She helps Shinji gain self-confidence by encouraging him, and Shinji respects her a great deal. The reason why she works at NERV is because she wants to destroy all Angels. She wants to revenge his father's death, which was caused by an Angel when the second impact occurred. His father saved her life, costing his own life. She never really liked her father before, but the incident has changed her view.
