Gendou Ikari
Gendou Ikari, 49 years old, is the Supreme Commander of NERV. He is Shinji Ikari's real father. However, he considers Rei Ayanami as his daughter and ignores Shinji. All this makes Shinji feel alienated around his father. He abandoned his son after his wife, Yui Ikari, mysteriously died. It seems that he is the only one who knows everything about Rei's past and the mystery of his wife's death. He also planned to accomplish the Human Completion Project. He will do anything to see this project done. He doesn't express his emotions, and is almost always cold and serious.
